We are determined to end all forms of child poverty within West Africa
Every child needs food, clothes, medicines and at a minimum, basic education. We are not all born with a ‘silver spoon’ however, we are all created equal and every child deserves life’s basic needs to survive in this world. In addition, every child should be given the opportunity to explore various life skills and educational opportunities in order to realise their full potential regardless of background, race, gender or sexual orientation.
At BCC, we work to alleviate all forms of child poverty, including poverty of the mind, by providing the basic needs for children within deprived areas of Nigerian and West Africa. Poverty of the mind is a mental condition, which must be taken seriously as it affects many children, especially in third world countries and our goal is to create awareness of this condition, help reduce its existence and ultimately prevent future occurrence, by also providing support for basic education.
Every child should be given the opportunity to explore various life skills and educational opportunities
According to the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED), basic education comprises primary education (first stage of basic education) and lower secondary education (second stage). It also covers a wide variety of non-formal and informal public and private activities intended to meet the basic learning needs of people of all ages.
We are determined to end all forms of child poverty within West Africa, so this means we have a lot to do and with your kind generosity and continuous support, we can achieve this goal; thereby empowering communities and strengthen systems to stop child poverty even before it occurs. And when it does, we are there to provide all the resources needed to assist. On behalf of the children, tomorrow’s leaders and our future generation, we say thank you!
